NamazNow ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the NamazNow mobile application ("App").
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address. We use this solely to identify your account.
Location data: We request your device location to calculate accurate prayer times for your area. Your location is stored on our servers only to support prayer time calculations. We do not sell or share your location with third parties.
Prayer records: We store your prayer completion history (which prayers you marked as completed, and when) to power analytics and streaks. This data is tied to your account.
Device information: We collect minimal technical data (app version, platform) for debugging purposes.
In-app purchases: Subscription and purchase data is processed by Google Play or Apple App Store. We receive entitlement status via RevenueCat but do not store payment details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the App's core functionality (prayer times, notifications, analytics)
- To authenticate your account securely
- To process and validate subscription entitlements
- To send local prayer-time notifications (processed entirely on your device)
- To respond to support requests
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers, solely to operate the App:
- Google OAuth — for authentication
- RevenueCat — for subscription management
- Supabase — for secure database hosting
- OpenAI — for AI Quran assistant responses (messages are not stored by us beyond the session)
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and prayer data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing support@namaznow.app. We will delete your data within 30 days of receiving a valid request.
5. Children's Privacy
NamazNow is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure credential storage, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@namaznow.app.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
